Cássia Schutt:
Cássia Schutt is a Brazilian photographer whose work explores the intersection of cultures and the narratives found in everyday life. Defined by a lyrical approach, her visual storytelling is rooted in a journey that began in Rio de Janeiro. There, she earned a degree in Advertising, worked as a documentary photographer in a Brazilian favela, and established herself as a Casting Producer. These foundational experiences refined her perception and solidified her innate connection with people.
A defining shift occurred with her move to Macau in 2006, which sparked a deep appreciation for Asian traditions. Immersing herself in this new culture, and further informed by extensive travels, she found her worldview fundamentally broadened. This expanded perspective and her patient gaze upon everyday scenes in the countries she visits are what she ultimately shares through her photography.
