A Serbian-born art historian, artist, and art educator. From a very early age, I was drawn to preserving moments—first through childhood snapshots on digital cameras, and later with a video camera during my university years. In 2018, I picked up an old plastic analog camera and began exploring film photography as a creative outlet and a way to tell visual stories.
Since then, I’ve delved deep into the world of film, experimenting with various formats—from tiny 110mm spy film and 26mm cartridges to classic 35mm and medium format 120mm. After trying many setups, I found a lasting creative companion in the Nikon FM2n, which remains my go-to camera to this day.
Before moving to Asia, I was part of a darkroom collective in Belgrade called Dodge & Burn, where I learned the craft of film developing, scanning, and printing—both in black and white and color. I developed and scanned my own work, embracing the full analog process.
My photographic journey began with street photography, drawn to candid moments and visual storytelling. Recently, my focus has expanded to also documenting the traditions, rituals, and everyday lives of local communities in the countries I live in and travel through—especially in places like Nepal and China. For me, photography is a way to connect more deeply with culture, people, and place.
