André Ritchie

Born and raised in Macau, André Ritchie comes from a traditional Macanese family that embraces both Portuguese and Chinese cultures. He holds a degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Oporto, Portugal. Following a career in the Government that saw him in charge of several large-scale infrastructure projects, he is currently the Director of the Property & Works Department in STDM, overseeing the company’s large portfolio of properties. 

André was introduced to photography at a young age by his father, who taught him the basics of picture taking. His passion for photography endured over the years ever since he experienced his first photos with his father’s Olympus Trip 35 – a camera he still shoots with to this day. To share his work and views on photography, he created Measuring Light www.measuringlight.com, a blog with a solid number of followers that have been referenced in reputable online photography platforms.
