Lurdes de Sousa
Lurdes de Sousa is an amateur photographer.
Born in France and raised in Paris where she studied Political Sciences and International Law, she has lived and worked in Africa (Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Ethiopia), Asia (Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia) and the Middle East (Israel, Palestine) before settling in Macau in 2006 where she currently lives.
Founder of “This is my street”, a project that collects photos from around the world for philanthropist purposes. The first photo exhibition of This is my street was held, in Macau, in November 2021 and currently preparing the second edition.
A passionate philanthropist and an unconditional art lover from the Renaissance great masters to modern contemporary art and photography, she is engaged in turning Macau into an international platform for the ‘Art of Giving’.
